Dot had the fastest run of the day, and ended up with a great run but it took 2nd. I had to call a safety on one bird because the shot would have been at a house. One more shot bird would've gave us the win or simply 6 seconds faster. Either way, Dot really has come around to be one excellent competition bird dog, doesn't matter if they're quail, chukar or pheasants her ability to find them and retrieve them to hand is superior.

Dot & Dixie ran the field very nicely each dog getting excellent coverage of their area, both quickly finding birds. When a chukar was flushed and shot, each dog honored the other dog's retrieve. Dot & Dixie are related, Dixie's Grand Sire is Dakota and Dot's Sire is Dakota.
